Governor Training

GOVERNORS' IN-SCHOOL TRAINING DAYS

The Governing Body has one In-School Training Day each Term at which the Governors examine a range of subjects related to the life and work of our school. We have no doubt whatever that these training sessions help to better equip us for the work we have to undertake as members of Davison's Governing Body, enabling us to carry out our responsibilities in a more effective and efficient manner, and with a greater degree of understanding of what actually goes on in the daily life of the school.

On most occasions, Governors have an opportunity to visit lessons in progress. We also meet with various groups of students, including the Head Girl and her team of Senior Prefects.

Our Governors are encouraged to attend Training Courses which are appropriate to their specific needs and also their preferred interests in educational matters.
