Flexidays

Flexiday Fridays are fun. This is what students are saying. In 2004 Davison introduced a new approach to organising the school day to make learning more interesting and enjoyable. Once a fortnight on a friday students at the school have a curriculum experience that is different from the daily diet of five lessons. In most cases students will engage in learning from one of their subjects for a whole day. This gives them the opportunity to go deeper into the subject. Not all flexidays are single subject based. Some of them are theme based, for example, the 'Sustainable Worlds' flexiday in Year 9. Other flexidays are focused on Learning skills or preparing for exams.

The Junior Governing Body recently conducted a student survey into flexidays. The results were presented to the school''s Governing Body, Leadership team and each of the Year groups through school Assemblies.
